Invoices for 2023

Hopefully you will have received your invoice for your plot fees for 2023 over the weekend. If you haven’t then please contact Dawn via  treasurer@hawkinge-allotments.org.uk

As we mentioned in an earlier post, this is a time when members start to think about their commitment to their plot and whether they have the capacity to continue their membership,

It is worth remembering there are options available to you before giving up your plot. If you have a FULL plot for instance, you might want to consider going down to a half a plot and giving up one half to somebody else. Or if you already have a half-plot then maybe you are thinking of asking for help or assistance from a friend or family member. If you are thinking about giving up, downsizing or need some help, please make sure that you discuss your needs with Dawn. Apart from being an act of courtesy, the rules and constitution are very specific about what happens to a plot when a member leaves or downsizes, so please make sure Dawn is updated on any plans that you may have. Plots or part of a plot cannot be passed on to anyone other than someone from the waiting list administered by the committee.

If everything is ok and you want to renew your membership, please don’t forget that our preferred method of payment is by electronic transfer into the Society’s bank account, the details are on the invoice.

Payment of your fees confirms an undertaking to abide by the society’s Code of Conduct. Please ensure you re-familiarise yourself with this, especially the section on maintaining your plot to the required standard. Click here for a link to the Code of Conduct.
